“A Consumate Professional”

Tamima Friedman was instrumental in helping us find our dream home in the perfect town. As first time homebuyers relocating from NYC, we started working with Tamima with very little knowledge of the real estate market, of the commuter towns of NJ, and of the home buying process in general. Over the course of our house hunt, which spanned a leisurely 2+ years, Tamima carefully navigated us through many different types of homes and in various conditions – from stately Victorians in need of a complete reno to move-in ready contemporaries. She respected our requirements and our budget, and often educated us in a gentle way, helping us reach certain conclusions on our own, rather than pushing her own agenda on us. She always took the time to answer our questions with careful consideration – I have many long emails from Tamima, sharing stories and anecdotes from her past experiences, as well as solid, objective information to guide our decision making.

Although she certainly has many clients, Tamima always made us feel like her top priority. She always returned my emails very promptly, and often with much more detail than I expected. As a very detail-oriented person myself, this style suited me perfectly. She was responsive in all forms of communication – from phone to email to text. When we were in the stressful and fast-moving bidding stage, she coached us through expertly, and often made herself available on the phone late into the evening. She gave us great advice on how to “win” the bid and as a result, despite being in one of the most competitive housing markets around, we were able to get our offer accepted on only the second house we bid on. She helped provide us with the data we needed to make a competitive offer, but she never pushed us to bid something we felt uncomfortable with, and as a result, we’re now the owners of a beautiful house that meets MORE criteria than we even considered important at the beginning of this process. She guided us through attorney review and inspection and the closing, often taking detailed notes and facilitating communications between all parties. It’s an overwhelming process, particularly for first-time buyers, and we were so appreciative of her expertise and calm demeanor.

Tamima is a consummate professional – analytical and strategic with all the technical aspects of house buying, yet warm and personal with all the emotional aspects of finding the ideal home. Her knowledge of the market and process was unparalleled. She was also always happy to weigh in on all types of topics I threw her way – from piano lessons to minivans to supermarkets to the public school system. In fact, I miss her emails now that we’ve actually bought a house and no longer communicate with her on a daily basis! She is a class act, and just a lovely human in general.
